Built for demanding ALERT2 networks
The A2X continues Blue Water Design's tradition of reliable products intended for unattended use in remote locations and in data centers. It is engineered for efficient power usage and operation across a wide temperature range from -40 to +80 °C.
The A2X is compact for a fully featured two-way ALERT2 IND, measuring just 7.5" x 4". It includes three standard serial ports, a micro-USB console port, and a full-size USB port for firmware updates or copying logs to a thumb drive.
Increased data throughput
Configurable Forward Error Correction allows sites to transmit roughly twice as much data in the same amount of time when the radio path is clear. Three FEC settings are available: the original ALERT2 settings and two modes designed for sites with good or great radio paths.
The A2X can be configured to use 250 ms TDMA slots with the new FEC modes, helping systems increase capacity or reduce reporting latency.
Status and error reporting
The A2X can send status reports that include battery voltage, device temperature, GPS status, subsystem errors or warnings, and message statistics.
